College Scholarship Programs

Administered by Oklahoma State University's (Stillwater, OK) College of Agriculture, Oklahoma Farm Bureau offers a $500 scholarship to an incoming freshman demonstrating leadership and academic excellence.

The Oklahoma Farm Bureau and Affiliated Companies and its Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee offer nine $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors pursuing a career in agriculture at an Oklahoma institution of higher learning as a full-time student. Applicants must be from a Farm Bureau member family. Access an online application on the Application Center page or ask for one at any county Farm Bureau office across the state. Applications are also sent to all Oklahoma FFA chapters and county extension offices by March, for an April 1 deadline. At least 20 of the 77 county Farm Bureaus offer scholarships to their member families. Scholarship amounts and application requirements vary by county. The following counties have a regular scholarship program and should be contacted directly for more information:

Livestock Judging

YF&R Livestock JudgingThe Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee hosts a livestock judging contest at both the Oklahoma Youth Livestock Expo at the State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City, and the Tulsa State Fair in Tulsa in the fall.
