Poultry & Eggs

Poultry production, consisting of broilers and egg-laying flocks, is located primarily in the eastern third of the state. The number of egg-laying poultry in the state averages just over three million and produces over 745 million eggs per year. More than 214 million broiler chickens were produced on Oklahoma farms in 2011, creating $710 million of value. The poultry industry has significantly boosted the agriculture economy in eastern Oklahoma.
