Each year at the OKFB Annual Meeting, we honor our members and counties who go above and beyond in promoting the organization and agriculture across the state.
Our farmers and ranchers are the backbone of our grassroots organization, and we work to recognize those members.
Below meet the winners of the more 12 awards presented during the organization’s largest gathering of farmers and ranchers.
Distinguished Service Award
The award honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to agriculture and the Farm Bureau organization.
District Administrator of the Year Award
The award is presented to one county Farm Bureau administrator from each OKFB district for their contributions to the overall success of their county Farm Bureau.
Bushels for Books recipients
Teachers and librarians from across the state can submit an application to be chosen to receive a basket of accurate agriculture books courtesy of the OKFB Foundation for Agriculture and the OKFB Women’s Leadership Committee.
Oklahoma Youth Leading Agriculture Ag in the Classroom Scholarship Challenge
The scholarship recipient is honored for their work to teach local students in the community about Oklahoma agriculture.
District Farm and Ranch Family Recognition
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership committee is proud to recognize nine outstanding farm and ranch families from around our state.
John I. Taylor Award
Named after OKFB’s first president, the award serves as the organization’s highest county honor, recognizing the Farm Bureau county with the most effective programs and activities.
Lewis H. Munn Award
Also known as the Farm Bureau Builders Award, the award is presented each year to the county that conducts the strongest program in a chosen area. This year, the program area was public relations.
YF&R Achievement Award
The Achievement Award recognizes Young Farmers & Ranchers who have excelled in their farm or ranch and have honed their leadership abilities through Farm Bureau and other activities and organizations.
YF&R Excellence in Agriculture Award
The award is presented to young farmers and ranchers – who do not derive a majority of their income from an operation – for excellence in Farm Bureau and the agriculture industry.
YF&R Discussion Meet winners
The OKFB Young Farmers and Ranchers named the winners of three discussion meet competitive events who participated in a panel–style discussion.
Journalist of the Year Award
The award honors a working member of the news media for accurate and regular reports about Farm Bureau news, agricultural and rural issues.
YF&R Charles L. Roff Award
Presented to the state’s top county YF&R committee, the Charles L. Roff Award encourages YF&R members to improve their local committees while strengthening the Farm Bureau organization.
County Awards
Each year, OKFB recognizes the county Farm Bureaus that have excelled in program areas such as membership, public policy, local affairs, service to members, Women’s Leadership Committee and Young Farmers and Ranchers with a Presidential Star Award.
