The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers will host its annual discussion meet at the organization’s annual convention Nov. 16, 2018 in Norman, Oklahoma. The discussion meet is designed to replicate a committee meeting in which all participants are expected to discuss and actively contribute. Participants are evaluated on an exchange of ideas and information on a pre-determined topic in three rounds of debate-style discussion. Foundation announces name change to Oklahoma Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture
The Oklahoma Farming and Ranching Foundation board of directors recently announced the non-profit foundation has changed its name to the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture. With the support of Oklahoma Farm Bureau members and friends throughout the agriculture industry, the foundation has worked to promote agriculture, educate consumers, and support rural communities since its founding. Mielke named vice president of communications and public relations
Oklahoma Farm Bureau has chosen Dustin Mielke to serve as vice president of communications and public relations for the organization. Farm Bureau women celebrate “Made in Oklahoma†at fall conference
More than 70 Farm Bureau women gathered at the 2018 Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee Fall Conference Sept. 28-29 in Edmond, Oklahoma. With a “Made in Oklahoma” theme, the conference helped celebrate the food and fiber grown, raised, and produced in Oklahoma. More than 1,400 students compete in YF&R livestock judging contest
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee hosted more than 1,400 students during its annual Oklahoma State Fair livestock judging contest Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, in Oklahoma City. FFA and 4-H members in junior and senior categories judged eight categories of livestock with two classes of questions. OKFB Legal Foundation, other ag organizations file application in support of private property rights
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Legal Foundation, along with a coalition of agricultural organizations, this week filed an application supporting private property rights in a lawsuit between county commissioners and oil and gas companies. The Oklahoma Oil and Gas Association recently sued the Kingfisher County commissioners in the Oklahoma Supreme Court after the commissioners banned oil and gas companies from placing temporary produced-water pipelines in bar ditches along county roads. The OKFB Legal Foundation, along with Kingfisher County Farm Bureau, Oklahoma Farmers Union, Kingfisher County Farmers Union and the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association, filed an amicus curiae application in the case to […]
