In celebration of Oklahoma Farm Bureau Week, Caddo County Farm Bureau donated more than $12,000 to senior nutrition centers, 4-H and FFA programs and fire departments throughout the county. Senior nutrition centers in Anadarko, Apache, Binger, Carnegie, Cement, Cyril, Fort Cobb and Hinton each received $500 to help fund nutrition programs in the county. Berry, Patton join OKFB as field representatives
Oklahoma Farm Bureau has recently named Haley Berry and Caylie Patton as field representatives. In their new roles, the two will serve as liaisons between county Farm Bureaus and the state Farm Bureau. Berry will serve Beckham, Caddo, Cotton, Comanche, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Jefferson, Kiowa, Stephens, Tillman and Washita counties as the southwestern field representative. “Growing up was nothing but faith, family, food and Farm Bureau,” Berry said. “I now look forward to serving as a voice for our members.” A native of Central High, Oklahoma, Berry was raised on a cattle ranch. Oklahoma Farm Bureau members ages 18 to 35 are invited to attend the Young Famers and Ranchers Legislative Day held March 4 and 5 in Oklahoma City. The event is an opportunity for YF&R members to network with one another, learn about Farm Bureau policy, and promote agriculture and rural Oklahoma at the state Capitol. OKFB to host informational ELD meeting Feb. 26 in Okmulgee County
Farmers, ranchers and agribusinessmen are invited to attend an educational meeting on the electronic logging device and hours of service mandate held Feb. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Okmulgee County Fairgrounds. Hosted by Okmulgee County Farm Bureau, Oklahoma Farm Bureau, Okmulgee County Fair Board and Okmulgee County Extension, the meeting will cover the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s electronic logging device mandate and hours of service requirements for agriculture.
