Billy Gibson of Pontotoc County was recognized with the Distinguished Service to Oklahoma Farm Bureau Award during the OKFB 75th Annual Convention Nov. 11 in Oklahoma City. The award honors OKFB members who have made outstanding contributions to agriculture and the Farm Bureau organization. Gibson has been in agriculture for nearly 42 years and served several terms on the Oklahoma Farm Bureau State Board of Directors as well as on the Pontotoc County Farm Bureau board since 1978. Dalton Miller of Blanchard, Oklahoma, was named the winner of the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers high school discussion meet held Thursday, Nov. 10, in Oklahoma City. Three OKFB candidates elected to State Senate
Three candidates with Oklahoma Farm Bureau ties were elected Tuesday to serve in the Oklahoma State Senate. OKAgFund revokes support of Renegar

The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee hosted their 2016 Fall Conference Oct. 28-29 in Oklahoma City. Women from across the state attended the two-day event featuring various speakers, workshops, entertainment and more. State resolutions committee prepares 2017 OKFB policies
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau state resolutions committee met Oct. 18-19 in Oklahoma City to review, condense and organize resolutions for its 2017 policy book. The meeting served as one of the final steps in the organization’s grassroots policy development process. OKFB to host Flapjack Fundraiser at annual meeting
Oklahoma Farm Bureau is proud to host the Flapjack Fundraiser at its annual meeting on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 a.m. in the Cox Convention Center. Proceeds from the breakfast will go to the Bushels for Books Program, a partnership between the Oklahoma Farming and Ranching Foundation and the OKFB Young Farmers and Ranchers. The program will provide bushel baskets full of accurate agriculture books to teachers from five Oklahoma schools. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the Foundation’s booth in the trade show or outside the breakfast Saturday morning.
