Fifteen of Oklahoma’s top advocates for agriculture and rural Oklahoma were honored with the 2018 Oklahoma Farm Bureau Champion Award during the organization’s leadership conference held Feb. 18-19 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City. Matthews joins OKFB as associate director of public policy
Oklahoma Farm Bureau has named Robyn Matthews an associate director of public policy in OKFB’s public policy division. Farmers and ranchers gathered at the 2019 Oklahoma Farm Bureau Leadership Conference on Feb. 18-19 will have an opportunity to hear from Oklahoma’s newly-appointed Secretary of Agriculture Blayne Arthur. Arthur was appointed by Gov. Kevin Stitt in mid-December. A Payne County Farm Bureau member, she most recently served as Oklahoma 4-H Foundation executive director. She previously served as deputy commissioner of agriculture from 2012 to 2016. Oklahoma Farm Bureau members ages 18 to 35 are invited to attend the organization’s Young Famers and Ranchers Legislative Day held Feb. 18 in Oklahoma City. The event is an opportunity for YF&R members to network with one another, learn about Farm Bureau policy, and promote agriculture and rural Oklahoma at the state Capitol. OKFB thanks USDA for reopening all FSA offices
Oklahoma Farm Bureau today praises U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue for his work to meet the needs of farmers and ranchers by reopening Farm Service Agency offices across Oklahoma.
