Every year, the first full week in February brings about a new legislative session in Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma Farm Bureau public policy team has been working diligently to pore over thousands of submitted bills for the coming year. OKFB disappointed in poultry case decision
Oklahoma Farm Bureau members are disappointed with the conclusion reached by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma today finding in favor of the state of Oklahoma and holding poultry companies liable for high phosphorous levels causing pollution in the Illinois River Watershed. For decades, Oklahoma poultry farmers have been regulated by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry which requires nutrient management plans and limits on poultry litter application. Oklahoma Broadband Office encourages Oklahomans to verify rural internet service
Oklahoma Farm Bureau members are encouraged to check and verify the listed broadband internet service available in their areas on a coverage map recently released by the Federal Communications Commission. More than 150 people attended the gubernatorial candidate forum on agriculture hosted by Oklahoma Farm Bureau and the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association on Wednesday, Oct. 26 in Lawton. The forum featured incumbent candidate Gov. Kevin Stitt and was moderated by Ron Hays, senior farm and ranch broadcaster for the Radio Oklahoma Agriculture Network.
