The annual scholarship program awards three $500 scholarships to students studying nursing at an accredited college, university, vo-tech or trade school. OKFB women hold second-annual safety day
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee hosted its second-annual safety day June 3 at the OKFB home office in Oklahoma City. OKFB Women donate to Tulsa Ronald McDonald House as part of Our Food Link Program
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee donated a gift basket of snacks and gift cards to the Ronald McDonald House in Tulsa on Tuesday, March 15. Farm Bureau women donated the items to help families who have children receiving care at local hospitals during their stay at the Tulsa Ronald McDonald house. The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee will host its Fall Rally Oct. 30 and 31 at the Simmons Center in Duncan, Oklahoma. Wilke selected for Woman of the Year program
Monica Wilke, executive director of Oklahoma Farm Bureau and Affiliated Companies, has been selected as one of The Journal Record’s “50 Making a Difference” for 2015. This is part of The Journal Record’s Woman of the Year program, which recognizes Oklahoma’s leading women excelling in professional leadership and community activities. OKFB Women’s Leadership Committee hosts Youth Safety Day
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee hosted its first Safety Day on June 4 at the OKFB home office in Oklahoma City. At the event, 12- to 17-year-old youth from around the state learned ATV safety, fire safety, DUI prevention, poison control and more. “We want our children, our young people, and even parents to be aware of safety,” said Kitty Beavers, chair of the OKFB Women’s Leadership Committee. Throughout the day, students cycled through stations that focused on safety in various situations. OKFB Women’s Leadership Committee donates to Ronald McDonald House Charities
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee recently donated $600 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oklahoma City as a part of the “Our Food Link” initiative. In addition to the donation made by state women’s committee, Oklahoma County Farm Bureau also donated $100 to the charity organization. OKFB women have had a long history of partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities, donating time and money in many capacities over the last several years.
