OKFB supports ag youth at 2020 Tulsa State Fair premium sale
Oklahoma Farm Bureau helped support the state’s agriculture youth by purchasing $30,000 in premiums at the 2020 Tulsa State Fair Night of Champions Premium Sale. NEO A&M Collegiate Farm Bureau awarded AFBF grant
The Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College recently was awarded a mini-grant from the American Farm Bureau Federation. YF&R shotgun shoot raises more than $22,000 for OKFB foundation
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee raised $22,750 to benefit the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture during its second-annual shotgun shoot held Saturday, Aug. 29. YF&R members gather in OKC for summer conference
More than 60 Oklahoma Farm Bureau members gathered for the annual Young Farmers and Ranchers summer conference held July 10 – 12 in Oklahoma City. Conference participants had the opportunity to tour local agricultural facilities in the Oklahoma City metro area. American Plant Products and Services, owned by OKFB President Rodd Moesel, serves as a wholesale plant product company that provides greenhouse construction as well as horticulture necessities to universities and commercial entities nationwide. Eight high school seniors awarded $1,000 YF&R scholarship
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers committee has awarded eight high school seniors with a $1,000 college scholarship. OKFB’s youth leadership conference canceled
To protect the health and safety of students, the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee has decided to cancel its Oklahoma Youth Leading Agriculture program. The conference was scheduled to be held May 26-29, 2020 in Oklahoma City. For more information, contact OKFB YF&R Coordinator Zac Swartz at (405) 523-2300.
YF&R scholarship application deadline extended
The deadline for students to apply to receive one of nine $1,000 college scholarships from the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee has been extended to April 30, 2020. Nine $1,000 scholarships, one from each OKFB district, will be awarded to high school seniors pursuing a career in agriculture at an Oklahoma institution of high learning as a full-time student. Applications must be postmarked no later than April 30, 2020. Download the application in OKFB’s online Application Center.

The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee is now accepting applications for its Oklahoma Youth Leading Agriculture program held May 26-29, 2020 in Oklahoma City. OYLA is a unique three-day summer leadership conference designed for high school students completing their junior year in 2020. The conference will include special leadership classes, exciting speakers, team building and visits to agriculture-related industries. Selected students should be among the top, well rounded students in their class, and should have an interest in furthering their education at the post-secondary level.
