Farmers and ranchers will head to Washington, D.C., April 10–14 to represent the agricultural industry during the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Congressional Action Tour.
The annual event gives OKFB members an opportunity to visit the nation’s Capitol, learn about federal policy affecting agriculture, and discuss important issues with Oklahoma’s Congressional delegation.
“Oklahoma’s Congressional delegation needs to know about the issues affecting farmers and ranchers in our state,” said Tom Buchanan, OKFB president. “The trip to Washington allows our members to interact with their congressmen, and truly make a difference for Oklahoma agriculture.”
The four-day trip also will feature a legislative reception with Oklahoma congressmen and their staff, and an optional tour of Mount Vernon and George Washington’s Distillery and Gristmill.
Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. The deadline to register is March 10. For more information, contact Tasha Duncan at (405) 530-2681.
