Oklahoma Farm Bureau women are encouraged to attend a Women’s Leadership Committee luncheon featuring American Farm Bureau Federation WLC Chair Sherry Saylor on Friday, Nov. 16 at 11:30 a.m. during the OKFB annual meeting in Norman, Oklahoma.
During the lunch, Saylor will speak about her experience with the committee and will encourage Farm Bureau women in their work to advocate for farmers and ranchers.
A native of Arizona, Saylor was elected AFBF WLC chair in 2015. As chair, she serves on the AFBF board of directors. She has represented the AFBF WLC on the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture’s board of directors since 2012 and has served on the Women’s Leadership Committee since 1990.
Saylor has been a Farm Bureau member since 1974 and formerly held the position of state Women’s Leadership chair in Arizona. She and her husband, Rick, a third-generation farmer, are partners in R&S Farms, a diversified row crop farm growing alfalfa and a variety of row crops.
She graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and education and received her master’s in counseling in 1996. For the past 33 years, she has served as an elementary school guidance counselor.
