Oklahoma Farm Bureau has launched the newest addition to its web site, the “Commodities” page. The page was created in an effort to provide visitors with specific information on commodities produced throughout the state.
The web page highlights Oklahoma’s top commodities, including beef, wheat, poultry, cotton, swine, peanuts and equine. Visitors will find interesting facts about each commodity as well as its state and national rankings, and the latest cash receipts.
KIS Futures will provide weekly market outlooks for most of these commodities. The markets will be updated each Monday morning with the week’s newest activity. In addition, visitors to the “Commodities” page will find a link to the Ag Weather site, which provides farmers and ranchers with valuable information designed to aid in their decision-making processes.
For those with specific questions regarding state commodities, a contact list containing the names and email addresses of Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s Advisory Committee chairmen and staff representatives has been added to the site. Visitors may contact these representatives with their questions and/or comments.
If visitors are unable to find the information they are looking for through OFB’s “Commodities” page, a list of links to several state and national commodity organizations can be found on the site.
A link to The Sale Ring, OFB’s online classifieds site, is also available from the “Commodities” page. Here, visitors can buy, sell or trade goods and services online. Ad postings are free for Farm Bureau members, but anyone may view the contents.
