Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s Young Farmers & Ranchers program is looking for bright young Farm Bureau agriculturalists ages 18-35 to compete in a variety of programs for recognition for their contributions to agriculture. Applications for the YF&R competitive events, which include the Achievement Award, the Excellence in Agriculture Award, the Discussion Meet and the Charles Roff Award are due Friday, Oct. 14, 2016. OKFB YF&R host annual state fair livestock judging contest
Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s Young Farmers and Ranchers committee hosted more than 1,000 Oklahoma agriculture students at the group’s annual Oklahoma State Fair livestock judging contest held September 15 at the state fairgrounds in Oklahoma City. Buchanan praises Water Resources Development Act of 2016
The U.S. Senate today passed the Water Resources Development Act of 2016, which gives support to ports and inland waterways, drinking water and wastewater infrastructure, drought technologies and more. OKFB annual meeting details, schedule released
Oklahoma Farm Bureau members from across the state will meet at the Cox Convention Center in downtown Oklahoma City Nov. 11-13 for OKFB’s 75th annual meeting. The OKFB awards program will take place during the first general session on Friday evening at 7 p.m. The featured entertainment is scheduled for Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. following the annual OKFB banquet. OKFB to host “Get on Tap with 777” in Norman
Oklahoma Farm Bureau is set to host “Get on Tap with 777” September 22 at 5:30 p.m. at McNellie’s Abner Ale House in Norman. At the event, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about State Question 777, or the Right to Farm bill. Guests will enjoy free drinks and appetizers. The bill is a state constitutional amendment to protect Oklahoma’s farmers and ranchers by creating additional constitutional protections they currently lack and need.
