Victor Manuel Castro-Huerta, announced Wednesday, June 29, nearly two years after the 2020 ruling in Jimcy McGirt v. State of Oklahoma. Meek brings rural perspective to Oklahoma Broadband Governing Board
Oklahoma Farm Bureau Treasurer and District 9 Director Jim Meek was recently elected as vice-chair of the newly formed Oklahoma Broadband Governing Board. Youth attend OKFB leadership conference
Thirteen high school seniors from across the state participated in Oklahoma Farm Bureau’s Oklahoma Youth Leading Agriculture conference June 14-17 in Oklahoma City. The OKFB Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee host the annual conference, which is designed to prepare high school students for a career in agriculture and to advance leadership skills. Participants of the conference were high school seniors selected through an application process. OKFB Generation Bridge to host three summer events
Oklahoma Farm Bureau members ages 35-50 are invited to attend the OKFB Generation Bridge Summer Series, which features three opportunities for members to gather in July and August. OKFB’s new Generation Bridge program targets OKFB members who are in the middle of their agriculture careers and want to expand their agricultural knowledge, connections and leadership experience. The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Ag PAC political action committee announced the endorsement of 13 candidates and financial support of an additional 26 in both state and federal races ahead of Oklahoma’s June 28 primary election. High school students selected to attend OYLA conference
Thirteen incoming high school seniors were recently selected to attend the 2022 Oklahoma Youth Leading Agriculture conference June 14-17. The conference, hosted by the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers, is designed to prepare high school students for a future career in agriculture and to advance leadership skills. OKFB WLC to sponsor five grant opportunities for school gardens
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee is proud to sponsor the 2022 Oklahoma Farm to School Garden of the Year contest. The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Farm to School program encourages teachers to integrate agricultural lessons into their everyday curriculum so students can learn more about where their food comes from. Schools who have an established garden or are creating a garden are encouraged to apply for one of the five grants offered. Fragasso joins OKFB as communications summer intern
Megan Fragasso, an agricultural communications senior at Oklahoma State University, recently joined Oklahoma Farm Bureau as the 2022 communications summer intern. Fragasso will assist the OKFB communications and public relations department with writing news and feature stories, managing social media, updating the organization’s website, developing print products for organizational programs, covering various Farm Bureau events and more. “Growing up on my family’s farm and ranch, I saw their dedication to the industry, and their passion has been engrained in me,” Fragasso said. “I am proud to be able to advocate for agriculture while also growing my skills for the future.” […]
