Oklahoma Farm Bureau is proud to sponsor the Tulsa Farm Show to be held Dec. 9-11 at the SageNet Center, formerly known as the River Spirit Expo, at the Tulsa Expo Square. As the largest farm show in Oklahoma, more than 380 companies will be featuring their products and services over. Be sure to join OKFB on Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will also feature events, demonstrations, competitions, test drives and prize drawings. OKFB Legal Foundation supports AFBF and NPPC’s Supreme Court petition regarding California’s Proposition 12
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Legal Foundation has joined forces with agriculture groups and business organizations from around the country to submit a group amicus curiae – or “friend of the court” – brief supporting the American Farm Bureau Federation and National Pork Producers Council’s Supreme Court petition to hear their appeal relating to California’s Proposition 12. Proposition 12 sets housing requirements for farm animals raised for food products sold in California. Havens joins OKFB communications department
Oklahoma Farm Bureau recently named Rachel Havens as the organization’s assistant director of media relations and advocacy communications. Havens will work in the communications and public relations department to develop and grow relationships with news media statewide to expand the organization’s reach in promoting the interest and work of OKFB members and Oklahoma agriculture. Join OKFB for the 2022 AFBF Convention in Atlanta
Oklahoma Farm Bureau members are invited to attend the 2022 American Farm Bureau Convention Jan. 7-12, 2022, in Atlanta, Georgia. Farm Bureau members will have the chance to hear from powerful speakers, explore the trade show, attend educational workshops and explore Georgia agriculture. A virtual option will be available to those who cannot travel to Atlanta. The cost of virtual registration is $25 per person and can be found on the AFBF convention website. Thompson named the vice president of public policy
Oklahoma Farm Bureau recently named Steve Thompson as the vice president of public policy. OKFB Foundation for Agriculture, partners donate utility vehicle to Restore Farms
In partnership with BankFirst, Oklahoma AgCredit, CoBank and Oklahoma County Farm Bureau, the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture donated a John Deere Gator Utility Vehicle to Restore Farms November 9 at their location in Oklahoma City. Part of the RestoreOKC initiative, Restore Farms is an urban farm and garden working closely with the residents of northeast Oklahoma City. Featuring a community garden, orchard, greenhouse and livestock, the location serves as a building block of renewed community for local residents of all ages. OKFB hosts successful 80th annual meeting
