More than 60 Oklahoma Farm Bureau members gathered for the annual Young Farmers and Ranchers summer conference held July 10 – 12 in Oklahoma City. Conference participants had the opportunity to tour local agricultural facilities in the Oklahoma City metro area. American Plant Products and Services, owned by OKFB President Rodd Moesel, serves as a wholesale plant product company that provides greenhouse construction as well as horticulture necessities to universities and commercial entities nationwide. Comanche County member shares benefits of USMCA with KSWO
Adam Bohl, a fifth-generation Chattanooga farmer and Comanche County Farm Bureau member, recently explained the impact of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement on farmers and ranchers in a story with KSWO 7 News in Lawton. Holman named assistant director of public policy
Caylie Holman has been named an assistant director of public policy at Oklahoma Farm Bureau. In the new role, she will work alongside the public policy staff to advocate for Farm Bureau’s grassroots policy at the state Capitol. Ag Fund boasts 100% success rate in primary elections, expands support for candidates
All 26 candidates supported or endorsed by the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Ag Fund, the organization’s grassroots political action committee, advanced out of Oklahoma’s primary elections held June 30. While 23 of those candidates will advance to the general election on Nov. 3, three candidates will face a runoff primary election on Aug. 25. OKFB urges USDA to include hard red winter wheat in CFAP
Oklahoma Farm Bureau this week pressed the U.S. Department of Agriculture to expand its Coronavirus Food Assistance Program direct payment assistance to include hard red winter wheat. To be eligible for CFAP assistance, commodities were required to have suffered a 5-percent-or-greater decline from mid-January to mid-April 2020.
