Oklahoma Farm Bureau, the OKFB Foundation for Agriculture and OKFB Insurance are providing matching funds to county Farm Bureaus that make donations to assist fire departments in their area as Oklahoma battles drought.
All 77 counties in the state are facing varying levels of drought, increasing the chances for wildfires to spark and calling local fire departments into action.
The OKFB Fire Department Matching Program will match county Farm Bureaus’ donations to one or multiple fire departments. OKFB, the foundation and insurance company will match total donations made by a county up to $450.
Counties interested in participating in the program must fill out the form on the OKFB website to receive matching funds. Counties will not obtain the matching funds until OKFB Foundation for Agriculture Director Holly Carroll receives the form.
The Fire Department Matching Program form must be submitted to Holly Carroll by September 30 for the chance to receive up to $450 in matching funds.
