Oklahoma Farm Bureau president Mike Spradling spoke May 11, at a state capitol press conference supporting the passage of HB 1381. The bill, also known as the Supplemental Hospital Offset Payment Program, would assess a fee on Oklahoma’s hospitals that would then be used to achieve a 2-1 federal match to be used for Medicaid reimbursement. It passed the State House of Representatives May 11, after previously receiving approval in the State Senate. It now awaits Governor Mary Fallin’s signature.
